This project, implemented for www.livingzone.de, involved a complete redesign using the Hyvä theme and implementing unique features such as custom PDP layouts, Bunny CDN integration, and tailored checkout flows to meet the client’s specific needs.

Project Overview

Our goal was to deliver a modern, high-performing eCommerce platform that prioritized speed, scalability, and functionality. The project’s key highlights include:

  • Migration from Shopware to Magento 2.4.6-p3 for enhanced flexibility, performance, and scalability.
  • Complete frontend redesign using the Hyvä theme based on custom Figma designs.
  • Innovative customization to meet unique business requirements.

Innovative Customizations

1. Dynamic Category Listing Pages

  • Custom Image Logic:
    • Integrated Bunny CDN to load optimized images in the required size, reducing bandwidth usage and improving speed.
    • Implemented an even-odd logic:
      • Odd Images: Highlight ambient settings. [ colorful images ]
      • Even Images: Showcase white room setups.
    • Result: A visually cohesive and performance-optimized category browsing experience.

2. Product Detail Page (PDP) Customizations

  • Tailored PDP Layouts:
    • Designed an entirely different PDP layout for accessories to enhance usability and engagement. (Example: Accessories PDP).
    • Developed a distinct PDP layout for furniture that aligns with the product type’s needs. (Example: Furniture PDP).
  • Custom Media Gallery: Built a high-performance media gallery for product images, ensuring fast rendering and a seamless viewing experience.
  • Accordion Sections: Organized product information in expandable sections for improved readability and navigation.
  • Pay-in-Installments Popup: Integrated easy credit and PayPal widgets to provide flexible payment options, enhancing customer satisfaction. To optimize performance, we moved these widgets into a popup to avoid blocking rendering on the PDP, ensuring faster page load times.

3. Visual Swatch for Multiselect Attributes

  • Transformed multiselect attributes into visual swatches to allow customers to easily explore product variations, enhancing their shopping experience.

4. Landing Pages Development

  • Developed multiple custom landing pages with Magento’s page builder widgets, optimizing them for engagement and mobile responsiveness.

5. Checkout and Cart Customization

  • Fully redesigned checkout and cart pages to align with Figma designs, creating a streamlined, visually cohesive purchasing flow.
